Guidelines for Submitting a Network Abuse Report to Dandy.net:
Please include full log entries or packet captures with your report, including log field definitions.
Please submit all logs as Eastern Standard Time, or include the time zone and offset from Greenwich Mean Time used in your logs.
Please include a summary of the source and destination IP addresses of the abuse, as well as the destination port.
Please do not remove or mask destination IP addresses in your report.
Please word your report in a courteous and professional manner and do not threaten legal action or retaliatory attacks.
Please submit your report in plain text rather than HTML e-mail.
Please include all of your pertinent contact information, especially a telephone number where you may be reached.
Please do not quote legal opinions, statutes, or any abuse policy (including our own).
Please do not include your own analysis of the abuse unless it is essential to our understanding of the situation.
Please do not include WHOIS lookups, as Dandy.net will be aware of whether or not the IP of origin is part of our network.
Please do not report e-mail viruses, and please report Nimda/Code Red infections only if they are seriously interfering with your traffic. |
