Lavasoft Ad-aware Setup Instructions

Ad-aware is a free, easy-to-use program that helps protect your privacy online. Without your knowledge, third parties can track your internet usage and web surfing habits, as well as your personal information. Ad-aware detects and removes these files, providing you with privacy protection so you can confidently use the internet. Ad-aware is for individual use only and is compatible with Microsoft® Windows® 98/Me/NT/2000 and XP Home and Professional.

1. Click here to download Ad-aware. When prompted, click the Save button. Once the download is complete, double click the file to start the installation. 

2. Click the Next button to proceed past the introduction screen.

3. Read the Liscense Agreement and click Next.

4. Click the Next button to install the software in the default location.

5. Click the Next button and installation will begin.

6. Click the Finish button to when installation has completed.

7. Double click the Ad-aware icon on your desktop to run the program.

8. Click Start and Next to begin scanning your system for Ad-aware.

9. When the scan has completed, click Next to review the results.

10. Select the items you wish to remove and click Next to quarantine and delete them.

11. Click OK to complete the removal process.

12. Remember to scan your machine frequently to keep it spyware-free!
