RPG Story Pages of Mark Joseph Young:  Game sessions are a form of interactive story creation.  I've played and refereed many games, kept records of the events along the way.  Here are a few of them, presented in recreated accounts from differing perspectives.

Several of these sites have garnered interest from readers.  I would very much like to hear your opinions, as well as what brought you to these.

This is a sub-index page of the Index to the Writings of Mark Joseph Young, which cover many areas of thought and life, including, law, bible, rpg's, time travel, fiction, and many other subjects.

The game which makes the stories possible

Dar Koni Intelligence Report:  A New Human Encounters a Missile Crew:  Bob Reinsch explores the hills near the mobile home, and sees and flees members of the army of the Dar Koni.

Dar Koni Intelligence Report:  Several Humans Enter the NagaWorld:  The young versers known as Daragenn, Baby, and Paalpatine make their way indirectly to the Glass City, observed by the ever-vigilant army in the hills.

Dar Koni Intelligence Report:  ZZ Raven Enters the Multiverse:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers section, this is the story of a Multiverser character in NagaWorld, as observed and recorded by the aliens in whose territory he was discovered.

Federation Anti-Terrorist Report on Darien:  Arriving in a new world, ZZ Raven immediately finds himself opposing the authorities of a federation of planets.

Federation Justice Department Trial Report:  The conviction and sentencing of ZZ Raven is explained by the court clerk.

Federation Medical Examination Report on Darien:  A blow to the head did not convince authorites that ZZ Raven had been left unconscious at the terrorist meeting at which he was identified by police.

Federation Prisoner Holding Report on Darien:  Captured by military police, ZZ Raven tries to develop a strategy for his trial.

Index of the Papers:  A Multiverser RPG Story Collection Page:  The center of the web for the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers section, this page summarizes and introduces each of the documents which recount the adventures of Multiverser characters in the on-line games, as recorded in various forms by native observers.

Journals of the Architect:  A Multiverser RPG Story Page:  Index to the stories of my Multiverser character in several worlds.

Journals of the Architect:  Bob the Ghoul Strikes Again:  This fifth chapter of the Chicago section of stories of my Multiverser character revolves around attempts made on the lives of the main characters.

Journals of the Architect:  Cleaning Up Loose Ends:  The third chapter of the Chicago vampire saga, the vampires are undercut in less direct ways, and their schemes to create a faithless religion are destroyed.

Journals of the Architect:  Diamond's Bluff:  At the moment, this page doesn't really exist.  It's just a space holder for the continuing stories of my character in Multiverser, which are still being written.

Journals of the Architect:  Finishing the Chicago Vampire Network:  The last stronghold of the undead, the Presemium, is destroyed by the Architect and his team in this sixth chapter of the Chicago vampire saga.

Journals of the Architect:  How I Built Umak Tek:  The story continues in the second chapter, as I tell how my character created the city which gave him his nickname.

Journals of the Architect:  Life and Death Valley:  The dénouement of the Chicago vampire saga of the Multiverser story page begins with a trip to California--and the complications of the return.  This page falls between the destruction of the Presemium in Finishing the Chicago Vampire Network, and the enlargement of the Marileth story in Two Prongs Against a Demon.

Journals of the Architect:  Multiverser RPG Character in NagaWorld:  The opening chapter of the story of my Multiverser character tells of his initial adventures in NagaWorld.

Journals of the Architect:  The Destruction of the Vampire Gavin:  Continuing the story in Chicago, Gavin and Jackson are killed, and the Architect lives by faith, but a new threat develops in Chicago.

Journals of the Architect:  The Glom Bashal:  The fourth chapter of the Chicago adventures shifts the attention to an evil wizard with a powerful magic item.

Journals of the Architect:  Two Prongs Against a Demon:  Marileth, a.k.a. Marilyn Masters, and her mysterious intelligent machine, and her possession of the magical Glom Bashal, formed the greatest challenge to the Architect to that point.  This continues the Multiverser stories in Chicago after the vampires are essentially eliminated, following the chapter Life and Death Valley in the sequence.

Journals of the Architect:  Vampires in Chicago:  Landing in a modern world, my Multiverser character found an ancient enemy lurking in the city streets.

Mary Piper Captain's Log:  Darius Completes the First Voyage:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers sub-site, this continues the log of a sailing vessel, with several pirate encounters and other events as the verser settles in to the new world.

Mary Piper Captain's Log:  Darius Disappears:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers, this gives an impression of what happens when a character leaves a world behind unexpectedly.

Mary Piper Captain's Log:  Darius On Board:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers sub-site, this is a page from the log of a sailing vessel, recording the discovery of a verser on board five days out of port.

Mary Piper Captain's Log:  Darius' Second Voyage:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers, this continues the record of the sailing vessel with the records of the events, including derelict ships, storms, uncharted islands, and other adventures on the high seas.

Mary Piper Captain's Log:  Darius' Second Voyage Begins:  Part of the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers sub-site, this continues the log of a sailing vessel as it sets out on the beginning of another voyage with a verser on board.

The Perpetual Barbecue:  This short story originally published in The RPG Review e-zine plays with time travel and the theories developed originally in the Multiverser role playing game.  It has been reprinted on the award-winning Temporal Anomalies site.  The world in which it is set was published in Multiverser:  The Second Book of Worlds from Valdron Inc.

Richard Connell's Butler's Diary:  Darius Washes Up on Shore:  The Multiverser character stays a few days before attacking his host's butler and getting shot--but it's not as crazy as it sounds.

Stories from the Verse:  A Multiverser RPG Story Page:  The prologue to a collection of tales of role playing game characters in many different worlds, told by me under the name of my own Multiverser character.

Stories from the Verse:  The Collected Papers:  I want to thank Jim Denaxas of Sinister Grynn Productions for the idea for this sub-site.  He suggested that the Stories from the Verse would be more interesting if the style varied and the narrator changed.  When the on-line games began, I decided that this was the material I needed for a new creative effort, stories told through official reports, log entries, diaries, and other documents not of versers themselves, but of those "indigs" they encounter.  This page introduces this section.

Stories from the Verse:  Contents of the Stories:  This serves as an index page to the various stories recounting the adventures of friends in the Multiverser role playing game.

Stories from the Verse:  Dylan Becomes the Psientist on a Desert Planet:  The place and the characters may seem familiar, as this fourth page of Multiverser RPG stories takes Dylan and Whisp into the world of a well-known science fiction epic.

Stories from the Verse:  Dylan in NagaWorld with the Early Versers:  This first page of the role playing stories introduces several of the characters and some of the background to the game worlds.

Stories from the Verse:  Dylan in Two Worlds and Whisp's Mother:  The second page of these role play stories follows the adventures of Dylan, and explains about Mother and her relation to the character Whisp.

Stories from the Verse:  George, Bill, and Trevor Leave NagaWorld:  As their paths carry them into other universes, one Multiverser character becomes a spy, another becomes captain of a spaceship, and a third enters a quiet world with dark secrets.

Stories from the Verse:  Michael as God of the Wolves:  After meeting Lima, Michael tried to take over the unusual world in which he found himself, with mixed results.

Stories from the Verse:  Michael Follows Two Children:  In a world ruled by a lion god and filled with talking animals, Michael and his companions learn a little magic and keep a few giants away from some children on a quest.

Stories from the Verse:  Michael Kills Giants while Ian Learns Magic:  Multiverser character stories continue in two very different magical worlds.  For those familiar with the RPG concept, one of these is a story world, in which the player character has been added to a book; and the other is a game world, in which the player character has entered another popular role playing game.

Stories from the Verse:  Michael Meets Lima:  On the third page of these role play stories, one of the earliest characters is followed as he encounters an unusual woman on an unusual world.

Stories from the Verse:  New Versers Reach Umak Tek:  Several new characters are introduced to the Multiverser role playing game stories, and NagaWorld is revisited, in this sixth of the RPG story pages.

Understanding Dar Koni Time in NagaWorld:  In order to tell the Stories from the Verse Collected Papers from the perspective of the Dar Koni Intelligence Reports, I needed to create a time system which made sense from a Dar Koni perspective and fit the world in which they are living, yet would not be too difficult for me to use in recreating the adventures on paper.  Once I'd created it, I decided that the reader might find it useful to understand the time system as well, since the NagaWorld day does not lend itself to terran timekeeping systems.
